Shivpuri is situated at about 15 km from Rishikesh. The place is popular for tranquil atmosphere, and also for adventure sports, trekking, camping, river rafting, surfing, cliff jumping and rock climbing.

My first solo trip to Rishikesh was in September, 2021. After a massive rain in August and September, major devastation occurred across the Indian state of Uttarakhand. I went on my first solo trek from Lakshman Jhula to Shivpuri, Rishikesh, a 12 km walk via Neelkanth bridge.

While walking I saw on one side of the mountain, mud, rock slides, uprooted trees half blocking the road. On the other side, there was a fabulous sight of Ganges river slicing along the picturesque mountains.

Added below some photographs I took along the way.

Like photography, an avid reader of comics, humour, fiction, romance. Never become tired of listening to breathtaking Kenny G Music, nor do I mind relentlessly watching Tom & Jerry cartoon and Yes Minister - BBC serial, The Lucy Show, Bewitched, to name a few. Trekking is one of my passions, especially in Uttarakhand, a Himalayan state in India.
